Hi there!
 
I’m Sarah- a chihuahua lover, Netflix binger, book-reader trying to make her transition from YA to adult fiction with the help of Leigh Bardugo and Sarah J. Maas, CG Artist, Daily Todo-ist and Productivity Enthusiast! I am a creative to my core and love applying design fundamentals to every project I collaborate on- whether its photographing/editing cosplayers at an anime convention, or creating eye-catching graphic designs that promote initiatives that I support, or producing a 3D-animated short film that portrays a compelling narrative. I love being artistic and applying my skills to various mediums and pushing myself creatively to keep up with innovative technologies and practices.

Rob’s Farewell is about a soldier who is going to war and has just spent one last night with his girlfriend. The sun’s about to set and they are saying goodbye without knowing if they will see each other again 💔

Capture the Cape is a competitive multiplayer Roblox game I worked on at Cheil North Dallas, a subsidiary of Samsung. This was my first opportunity to work within a game development pipeline and allowed me to grow my artistic skillset by working within multiple areas of the pipeline.&#38;nbsp;

Responsible for lighting and optimizing museum assets. Emphasis is placed on our hero statue by placing a key in front of her to accentuate her shadow and rim lights are placed around her to give her a halo-like angelic aura you can view as a player running up to her.

Responsible for lighting, concepting, modeling, UVing, and texturing sewers assets. Lighting for the sewers was meant to play with shadow and add some visual interest to a possible cape spawn location.

Octo Ninja is a black and white, noir-inspired comedy following an 8-legged ninja hero as he battles his way to a final confrontation with his squidy arch nemesis. I worked on this short with a class of 30+ students at the University of Texas at Dallas and primarily was resposible for creating set let rigs, lighting and compositing five key shots.

Responsible for lighting and compositing the following shots which included testing various effects that aided in portraying our cartoonesque/noir-inspired art direction (but make it underwater). I played with alot of these effects in Nuke such as: distortion, projected caustics, point world depth, particle effects for various debris floating underwater, bloom, glares, etc. Our team also closely collaborated with a team of motion graphic artists to incorporate other 2D effects for that comic book feel.

Night Shift 

was worked on by a team of 30+ artists at the University of Texas at Dallas and follows a curious and bouncy little girl as she awaits the presence of someone in the midst of the night. She is whisked away by an ethereal Moon Woman for a magical night of play and together they dance among the clouds of the night's sky.
In this short, you will notice a transition from 3D to 2Desque animation and as a lighting and compositing artist, I worked closely with the surfacing 

 team to implement aiToon shaders and experimented with ramp nodes and tone maps in Maya to accomplish a cell-shaded 2D style for a portion of the film. This experience has pushed me to discover creative avenues in which I can utilize 3D tools and techniques within Maya to achieve a captivating 2D style.

Strings is a 3D animated short I worked on with 15+ students from the University of Texas at Dallas and is about a young woman who is transformed into a puppet on a stage, where she is strung along by an abusive partner and performs and introspective dance.
For the film, I was responsible for modeling, UVing, texturing props as well as lighting various shots throughout the film.
